María Inés Plaza Lazo
She is founder, publisher and editor of Arts of the Working Class, a street newspaper for art and society, wealth and poverty. Shaped as an art historian, her writing and organizational practices revolve around institutional critique, decolonial discourses and socio economic struggles within the so-called art world.
Engaging with the future of criticism, her publishing experience focuses on multilinguality, the question of expertise and dilettantism. She works currently as a Media Fellow at The New Institute, Hamburg, developing publishing formats at the intersection between academic work and social responsibility.
